Scott was the début solo album by Scott Walker, originally released in the United Kingdom on Philips Records in 1967. The album received both strong commercial success as well as critical praise, hitting No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart. This album, alongside Scott 2, features Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" recording technique, Scott 3 and Scott 4 however do not.

ABBA co-founder Benny Andersson has Piano, his new album of solo piano music, now on release. The 21-track project features music from the ABBA catalogue, from Andersson’s songs for musicals and other solo compositions, and will be on Universal Music Group’s celebrated classical label Deutsche Grammophon. Piano was recorded, with Andersson playing his trusty grand piano, with Linn Fijal, engineer and studio manager at his own RMV Studios, on the island of Skeppsholmen, in the heart of his home town of Stockholm. Benny has wowed and inspired his fans many times and in many different ways. And now he is doing it again. Together with everyone at Deutsche Grammophon, I am really looking forward to this album and I want to congratulate Benny on this wonderful release. The tracklisting for ‘Piano’ is below.

Benny Carter had already been a major jazz musician for nearly 30 years when he recorded this particularly strong septet session for Contemporary. With notable contributions from tenor saxophonist Ben Webster, trombonist Frank Rosolino and guitarist Barney Kessel, Carter (who plays a bit of trumpet on "How Can You Lose") is in superb form on a set of five standards and two of his originals. This timeless music is beyond the simple categories of "swing" or "bop" and should just be called "classic.
