The Heretics is the thirteenth full-length album by Greek extreme metal band Rotting Christ. It was released on 15 February 2019 via Season of Mist. All lyrics written by Sakis Tolis, except on songs "Πιστεύω", written by Nikos Kazantzakis, and "The Raven", adapted from a poem by Edgar Allan Poe; all music composed by Sakis Tolis. This is a band who has always been about creating an atmosphere of poetry and art that elevates Black Metal above the typical stab the Virgin Mary in the chest bullshit and makes it more about individual thought and freedom. And that's what I like best about The Heretics.
