Kid Flicks is the plunderphonic pop project of Lefkada-born, London-based producer, songwriter and artist Nickos Dervisis, where he is exploring his obsessions with dense sample heavy productions, pop harmonies, world music and eccentric sound designs. Since 2011 Dervisis had released two albums on Inner Ear Records and an EP on Bad Panda Records, recorded on his macbook while traveling around Greece and Europe.

Kid Flicks began as a simple idea that blossomed into something much greater. For each of the past 15 years, we were able to help hundreds of thousands of children who were going through an experience that was scary, lonely, tedious, and sometimes painful. But we are proud of another result that we did not foresee when we began at the ages of 16 (Lexi), 14 (Romi), 11 (Marni) and 9 (Berni): we inspired young people across the country to make a difference. Kid Flicks has donated 101,700 movies to over 900 recipients all over the world I grew up in a family of movie lovers. On weekends, my parents would take my older sisters and me to Hollywood Video, where we would deliberate: Matilda vs. 101 Dalmatians.

Kid Flicks is the experimental pop sonic alter-ego of Athens-based producer, songwriter and graphic designer Nickos Dervisis. After creating two dream pop albums recorded through his macbook while traveling around Greece and Europe, in 2014 Dervisis formed an explosive ensemble focusing on the relationship between electronics and samples coombined with live drums and middle eastern percussion.
