Immediately you get all the Goo Goo Dolls’ wholesome qualities from the get go. The opening track ‘Tattered Edge’ is an up-tempo and highly addictive number rich in melody and engaging hooks. It is everything you would expect from a band with the wealth of experience and quality of the Goo Goo Dolls. A highly polished EP, production is as always first class. It was recorded at EastWest studios in Los Angeles, and produced by Drew Pearson (OneRepublic, Katy Perry) who first collaborated with the band on their most recent album, Boxes.

Goo Goo Dolls is an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York, by guitarist/vocalist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. Mike Malinin was the band's drummer from December 1994 until December 27, 2013 (but not made an official member until 1998). The band are renowned for their commercially successful 1998 singles "Iris" and "Slide".

Goo Goo Dolls (also known as First Release) is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Goo Goo Dolls, released on June 9, 1987 by Mercenary and Celluloid Records. All of the songs were sung by bassist Robby Takac, who was originally the band's lead vocalist.
