I Still Do is the twentieth studio album by English musician Eric Clapton, and was released through the independent Bushbranch Records/Surfdog Records label. The album is a combination of new material written by Clapton and classic songs, contemporary tunes and influences interpreted in his own style. The album was produced by Glyn Johns who had worked with Clapton on Slowhand (1977) and Backless (1978).

Clapton and Johns – who has also produced albums for The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who – most famously worked together on Clapton’s iconic Slowhand album, which is RIAA-certified 3x-platinum and topped charts globally. The 12-track record includes some original songs written by Clapton. This album follows his last release, the 2014 chart-topping Eric Clapton & Friends: The Breeze, An Appreciation of JJ Cale. This was a long and overdue opportunity to work with Glyn Johns again, and also, incidentally, the fortieth anniversary of 'Slowhand'! said.

Eric Clapton has announced a new studio album for this spring, and it will include contributions from and old friend. The new set I Still Do drops May 20 and features acoustic guitar and vocals on the track I Will Be There from a musician named Angelo Mysterioso. This just happens to be a pseudonym used decades ago by none other than George Harrison. The late Beatles guitarist first used the moniker when co-writing the song "Badge for the 1969 Cream album Goodbye.
Eric Clapton is no stranger when it comes to looking to the past for new musical inspiration, and that philosophy is in full effect on I Still Do, his latest collection of songs that pay tribute to Robert Johnson, JJ Cale, Bob Dylan and other guitar icons. In this exclusive interview, Slowhand sits with Guitar World to discuss this most recent trip down memory lane. Now, nearly two years later, the 71-year-old guitar legend has released a studio album with a promising, first-person title: I Still Do. Is it a reassuring note to fans, something along the lines of Calm down, gang-I’m still here ? Given the exuberance with which Clapton speaks about the record, not to mention its strong performances, punchy mix and intriguing material, including his first-ever studio recording of Robert Johnson’s eerie Stones in My Passway and two new JJ Cale compositions, we’re gonna take that as a yes.
