The Soul Society is the debut album by bassist and cellist Sam Jones featuring performances recorded in early 1960 and originally released on the Riverside label. On four of the eight selections on the CD reissue of his Riverside set, Jones is well featured on bass while the other four numbers find him playing very effective cello.

Visitation is a studio album by American jazz bassist Sam Jones which was recorded in March, 1978 for the Danish SteepleChase Records label. This is his ninth album as a leader. The record was re-released on CD in 1994 and as a LP in 2014 with three bonus tracks.
