Hail to the Thief is the sixth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead. It was the last album released under Radiohead's record contract with EMI. Hail to the Thief is the sixth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead. Following Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001), which incorporated jazz, classical and electronic music influences, Hail to the Thief combines alternative rock instrumentation with drum machines, synthesisers, and digital manipulation. Hail to the Thief was produced by longtime Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich. To avoid the protracted recording sessions of previous albums, Radiohead. That was stuff we were getting into

Hail To The Thief is a music studio album recording by RADIOHEAD (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2003 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Sadly, the excitement of a new Radiohead album wore off fast, and I am left with doubts about this band's future. After 2 weak releases in a row (Amnesiac and this), plus having heard about their weak debut (Pablo Honey), I am hoping they haven't reached the end of the line. While this one had some very nice efforts, it simply lacked in consistency.

Stand Up, the soaring slowness of Sail to the Moon, and pure vocal harmonies in I Will. The Upshot: All these factors combine to make an album that's success is due to the right mix of original sonic experimentation and elements from their previous albums. Though not as commercial as OK Computer or The Bends, Hail to The ThiefRadiohead brings back their rock sensibilities for their 6th album. Though not as commercial as OK Computer or The Bends, Hail to The Thief offers fantastic melodies, piano fueled ballads and the lushness of Thom Yorke's voice. Download: We Suck Young Blood, 2+2 5, I Will, Sail to the Moon.

The record Radiohead did make, Hail to the Thief, is almost an anti-masterpiece, a well-sequenced collection of songs that finds them internalizing the blend of experimental electronics and straightforward rock they wore so far out on their sleeves just a few years earlier. At 14 tracks and 56 minutes, Hail to the Thief is easily the longest Radiohead album, and it doesn't seem accidental that two-thirds of the way through lies a song called "There There", as if the band is consoling itself, recognizing that there are worse challenges than carrying forward in a successful rock band.
