Night Songs (Cinderella album). Night Songs sold several million copies due to a combination of Cinderella's breakthrough single "Nobody's Fool", MTV airplay, and an opening slot on labelmates Bon Jovi's tour, in support of their album Slippery When Wet. The album peaked at on the US charts on February 7, 1987, and was certified double platinum for shipping 2 million copies there twelve days later  . These live songs were, along with their three MTV videos, released on home video in August 1987 on Night Songs: The Videos. On the VH1 program That Metal Show, Night Songs was rated on the show's "top five worst album covers on great albums" list.

Featuring a minor guest appearance by Jon Bon Jovi, Cinderella's debut album, Night Songs, positions the band as a second-tier pop-metal outfit, with a mix of ballads ("Nobody's Fool") and rockers ("Somebody Save Me") one might find on an album by any similar '80s band with a high-pitched vocalist. It's not bad, just generic; the band does hint at the potential it would fulfill on later albums, but little of Cinderella's own personality shows through at this point.

I have always thought their album cover was deceiving because your expecting Bubble Gum Pop Metal and yet another Monkey see Monkey do band. But that's not what you get, Tom, Eric and Jeff are awesome on this release (Fred didn't play drums on this, so didn't forget him) but got to say Jody Cortez does a decent job, the songwritings good and like that Nightsongs the 1st track.
