It’s a classy hybrid of conjoined sounds, mixing early rave flavour with a mechanized Latin tilt to arrive at something contemporary yet classically ‘floor oriented. Salsa’ is the pick, arranging intricate, ‘floor-scuffing shuffles under ghostly rave signals and creepy bleeps with Landstrumm’s signature hardware tweaks on show. Flipside ‘Ache’ is craftier, treading that murky 1990 area where House was a syncretic fusion of Hip Hop, Dub, Hardcore and nascent Techno.
