Guitar Vader (ギターベイダー) was a Japanese underground indie rock band. Formed in 1998, the band is best known for their contributions to the soundtracks of Sega's Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future games. It disbanded in 2007. Guitar Vader had two lead vocalists and songwriters, guitarist Miki Tanabe and bassist Ujuan Shozo. Miki's childlike voice and Ujuan's tenor are often used in harmony and call and response, but many songs are sung exclusively by one or the other.

Until 2002, they were signed to Berry Records, a subsidiary of Sony. Remixes GVR" and "From Dusk" are released. New drummer Suzuki Yoshifumi joins the band. 2002: GV songs are featured in the Xbox game Jet Set Radio Future. 2003: Self label "PLUGS HOUSE" is established, and the new album "DAWN" is released. 2004: Album "HAPPY EAST" is released in October.
