The idea was to record a collection of songs that were being played live at the time in a simple, spontaneous way. As such, the album consists of just vocals and acoustic guitar - recorded live in the room. Spring' features 15 songs, most of them on previous sold out albums, but with two tracks that would be recorded again and appear on the following album 'The Wife'.
