The winners of Idol were Alicja Janosz in season one, Krzysztof Zalewski in season two, Monika Brodka in season three & Maciek Silski in season four. After a hiatus of 12 years, the show returned for its 5th season in 2017. The winner is Mariusz Dyba. Alicja Janosz won over Ewelina Flinta and Szymon Wydra and therefore became the first female winner of the Idol series. It was also the first time that two females made it to the grand finale. On Christmas 2003 Janosz would compete with ten other countries Idol winners on World Idol where she eventually placed 8th.

Ewelina Flinta zaczynała karierę już jako 15-stolatka. Na scenie debiutowała ze swoim zespołem Surprise na Przystanku Woodstock w 1997 roku. drugie miejsce w finale polskiej edycji programu „Idol - wtedy Jej kariera zaczęła nabierać tempa. W 2003 roku wydała swój pierwszy album „Przeznaczenie (płyta uzyskała status Złotej), a w 2005 roku „Nie znasz mnie.
