Aeonian Sorrow is a newly formed funeral doom metal act revolving around the songwriting and lyrics of vocalist and keyboardist Gogo Melone. I've never listened to a full doom metal album before. This is my first time looking into this genre and the experience is very different from what I would have imagined. Their debut is a deep insight into the darkest of human emotions expressed in a very strange way. From the first notes, this music takes you away. It's very hard to stay connected to the real world and not drown into it.

Aeonian Sorrow is the name of a new doom metal band masterminded by vocalist and songwriter Gogo Melone. Thanks to some networking via No Clean Singing’s ally Daniel Neagoe (Eye Of Solitude, Clouds), I had the pleasure of hearing Aeonian Sorrow’s debut, Into The Eternity A Moment We Are, prior to its release. With this album, fans of more melodic strains of doom metal are in for a gem. Also, make a point to behold the stirring wreckage depicted in the album’s art. One thing that I find interesting is that every Finnish doom band seems to go for the same patterns on each record, the same regards to the vocals, nothing wrong with that, but it does sometimes feel like you are hearing the same band over and over again
