The Beatles - The Beatles (1968).

The Beatles work was always impeccable. Those four young men, John, Paul, George and Ringo, broke so many records and so many barriers and they will be remembered for being the most significant music creators of the twentieth century. This collection of number ones is taken from the most widely circulated charts in the UK (Record Retailer) and the USA (Billboard). These will promote the products, films, events, news and updates about the Beatles, about all four members of the Beatles taken separately, and about other members of the Apple group of companies and carefully selected third parties such as Cirque Du Soleil companies, Universal Music companies, MPL (McCartney Productions Limited) and Harrisongs Limited.

The Beatles (commonly known as The White Album) is the eponymous tenth studio album by English rock band The Beatles.

Never before had a rock record been so self-reflective, or so ironic; the Beach Boys send-up "Back in the .

The Beatles, otherwise known as The White Album, is the Fab Four’s eponymous ninth studio album. It followed the critically-divisive Magical Mystery Tour soundtrack, which resulted in the band’s extended retreat to India. Their much-publicized visit to the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s compound managed to inspire some fresh material for the group, but it also found the Beatles disenfranchised and in conflict with one another  . From the ridiculousness of Piggies and Rocky Raccoon, to the avant-garde seriousness of Revolution 9, there is truly a song for everyone on this album. It may not have topped 1967’s Sgt.

The Beatles' ninth original UK album, and their 15th in the United States, was their first double-length release. Commonly known as the White Album, the self-titled collection of 30 songs stands as a majestic cornucopia of styles, born from one of the group's most creative periods. Although financially secure, critically and commercially acclaimed, and assured as figureheads of popular music, by the summer of 1968 The Beatles were in a degree of turmoil. The Beatles were old hands at dealing with such pressure. They turned away from the elaborate excesses of Sgt Pepper, recording instead a simple collection of 30 songs under an even simpler name: The Beatles. George Martin later claimed he had wanted the group to omit the album's weaker songs and focused instead on producing a solid single-disc release.

The Beatles is the ninth official British album and the fifteenth American album by The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is commonly known as The White Album as it has no graphics or text other than the band’s name (and, on the early LP and CD releases, a serial number) on its plain white sleeve. The album was the first the Beatles undertook following the death of their manager, Brian Epstein, and the first released by their own record label, Apple. The Beatles is the ninth official British album and the fifteenth American album by The Beatles, a double album released in 1968.

This LP release originated at EMI Australia. They sent stampers to EMI NZ so it could be pressed locally and as it was a joint project between EMI NZ and Phonogram NZ (Music for Leisure) with a massive TV and radio promotion it was pressed at the EMI plant , 401 Hutt Road , Lower Hutt and at the Phonogram pressing plant , Wexford Road , Miramar , Wellington. The labels used at both sites were the same and the only way to distinguish the pressing is the raised rim 6mm from the edge on the contract pressing done at Phonogram. The matrix numbers appear as YAPAX 1071-3 on side 1 and YAPAX 1072.2 on side 2. They are hand written and facing out to the edge.Assuming the matrix number is at 6 o’clock, the initials CQ appear at 2 o’clock on the b side only.(very small) This is the mark of Clive Lipman a senior Mastering Engineer at EMI Australia during the 1970’s.The initial labels have Made in New Zealand by His Master's Voice (N.Z.) Limited. around the top edge. After 1/5/72 when HMV changed to EMI this was changed to Manufactured in New Zealand by E.M.I. (N.Z.) Limited.
