Dezerter1987 Skandal parted ways with Dezerter, and their first concert without him would be the Jarocin Festival, at which point Robal took over on lead vocals. This same year, the group's meeting with Canadian punk Joey Shithead of . brought them the issue of their first full length LP, Underground Out of Poland.

In mid-1989, Dezerter began working on material for a new album. In January 1990, at a studio in Wawrzyszew, recording of the LP Wszyscy przeciwko wszystkim (Everyone Against Everything) started. All songs featured on the album were based on early Deuter recordings, and in the late 1995/early 1996 Dezerter played some 30 shows across Poland. In late August 1996, Dezerter again entered the studio at Sulejówek, to record yet another album, Mam kły mam pazury (I Have Fangs, I Have Claws; the title was taken from an animal rights fanzine published in Grudziądz). It was released by Warner Music Poland, which had purchased Dezerter's publisher, Polton.

The album was finally issued in the spring of 1988, under the name Dezerter (in the subsequent issues, the name Kolaboracja was used). In August 1987, Dezerter performed at the Jarocin Festival, due to the fact that festival's manager Walter Chełstowski had been replaced by Marcin Jacobson. Soon after Jarocin, the Róbrege Festival was organized in Warsaw (late summer 1987).

Dezerter was founded as SS-20 in 1981 in Warsaw and is one of the most popular punk bands from Poland. They had to change their name to Dezerter because of the reaction of the Communist authorities (SS-20 was a clear reference to a type of Soviet ICBM). Dezerter is regarded as one of the most influential bands in Polish rock. With fast guitar riffs and intelligent lyrics written by Grabowski, its concerts have drawn thousands of fans.
