Label: Cold Spring ‎– CSR34CD. Artwork and design 2001. Thanks to mother, father, brothers & other family everywhere, friends throughout the ages, Marco from Flvx Bureau, and of course Justin Mitchell from Cold Spring (for taking a chance on an unknown quantity).

His music usually contains no rhythmic elements (one exception is ". " on Dead Weather Machine), but instead relies on spacious, extended, richly-textured sounds.

Five drawned out, spacious, droning and haunting sound sculptures with a multitude of perilous and frightening undertones, quite unasuming and rather vague at first, but augmented and brought to surface as imagination's failure to cope with the uncertainty of the unknown prevails. This trully is a terryfying and at the same time gratifying experience, a fulfilling nourishment for the imagination, especially with the headphones on and lights off.

The artist behind Sleep Research Facility was greatly inspired by Ridley Scott's "Alien" and this release, named after the spaceship in the film, captures the eerie deep space drift of sailing through the black vaccuum of space. Remember "Somnific Flux" by Laswell/Plotkin? If you liked that you'll love this. Great remastering job of the original release with a bonus track. Highly recommended if you like dark ambient drone stuff like Lustmord and Oophoi.
