Listen to Roger Waters' 'Watching TV'. "I've always been intrigued by this notion of war as an entertainment to mollify the folks back home – and the Gulf War fueled that idea," he told Rock Compact Disc Magazine in 1992. Amused to Death deals with the idea of whether TV is good or bad. And I set out to show that it can be both. Why you'd want this album on vinyl is beyond me. It was recorded to utilize the superior dynamic range of compact discs and you will never get that out of vinyl. Sorry, love vinyl but also know its limitations...

What is the value of a good NM fake, any suggestions anyone?

About $50-$75 actually. The bootleg looks the same and sounds almost as good.

How to tell the Sony 2xLP (sub-contracted to Analogue Productions) from the 'pure' Analogue Productions edition? (see link below)http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/feature/spot-the-difference-amused-to-death-rival-vinyl-pressings/It seems the difference is essentially cosmetic, all discs were pressed at QRP by Analogue Productions - stronger cardboard cover (AP) and inside of cover white (Sony). AP edition has the AP propaganda leaflet. It is still unclear to me why some people think the US edition is better than the European edition, since they were all pressed at QRP and only have a different catalog number. Some people say the pressing is very noisy, others say it is very quiet (amazing differences in perceived quality for the same production run, it seems).Does anyone have more insight on this ?
