Discussing music and sound gear, they eventually decided to make a song together. This adventure resulted in five tracks that are now called The Amsterdam Sessions. Ranging from neo-classical to experimental, ambient electronics, this EP is an exploration of sound and an ode to collaborative improvisation.

Journey is the self-titled debut album by the band of the same name. It was released in 1975 on Columbia Records. Unlike their later recordings, this is a jazzy progressive rock album which focuses mainly on the band's instrumental talents. It is the only album to include rhythm guitarist George Tickner among their personnel.

The Who live at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on 29th Sept. Professionally recorded for a live radio broadcast, so sound fidelity is superb. This show was performed a little over a month after their famous Woodstock festival performance. The Who then booked a couple of shows in Fe. 1970 and recorded the official Live At Leeds album. I picked up a copy of this show called Amazing Journey, but on the Hiwatt label (2-cd's) mastered slightly different. The Tommy portion is complete on the second cd with the tracks played after Tommy on the first cd.

Even though this album does not contain Journey’s best song it is absolutely their best collection. Definitely the most unified Journey album. Absolutely their best work. Every song on this album is an unquestionable testimony to the talent of Steve Perry. His long absence from music and performing has been a great loss to the music world and all his devoted fans around the world. I constantly play this particular album, because I miss "The Voice" so much.
