Avion Roe is a rock band from Dallas, TX. 2011 marks the birth of their energetic, somewhat schizophrenic debut album 'The Art of Fiction'. Avion Roe's songs are about hope and overcoming obstacles. The 10 song album connects from the first song to the last with sound effects, pianos and subtle guitars while singer Evan Lester screams out thoughts that couldn't find songs to call their homes.

Avion Claudette Trudy Henrietta Blackman (born January 30, 1976) is a reggae recording artist, and the wife of Christafari front man Mark Mohr. She has produced three solo albums as well as providing vocals and bass guitar for Christafari since 2003. Blackman was born in San Fernando, Trinidad, the daughter of famed calypsonian, Lord Shorty. Her father invented Soca music (The Soul of Calypso) and later changed his name to Ras Shorty I and created Jamoo music

Avion were an Australian 1980s pop rock band formed in 1981, originally named Lionheart, the line-up was Evan Murray on keyboards, Martin Toole on guitar, and three brothers: John Waller on drums, Kendall Waller on bass guitar and Randall Waller on lead vocals and lead guitar. The group issued two albums, Avion (1983) and White Noise (1987). Late in 1987, Murray died in a car accident and the group disbanded.

Avion Roe formed in 2011 after frontman Evan Couture had been looking for a new band since his split with emo-pop band Red Car Wire (who were signed to Universal Records) in 2009. He recruited drummer Josh Cutlip after he knew him from Red Car Wire which they were both in together. After adding their friends Sean Humphrey and Jordan Modro to the mix, the band knew this was the final lineup and they didn't need 5 members to complete the band. Here on January 4, 2011 in Dallas, Texas, Avion Roe was formed. Our band started on Jan 4th, 2011. The most popular song on the album is their debut song Who I A. which now has over 2 million views on the music video) but songs such as The Difference Between Us and I'm Not Afraid To Die received popularity by their fans as well.
