God this is a great album - but then what else would you expect from Jimpster? I've long had a fascination with California, Los Angeles in particular. I had a whole Saturday to myself back in September 2009 and drove all over the city. Descending from Griffith Park, I cued up this album and took the long trek south on Vermont Avenue towards the I-10 freeway. Amour' is the first full-length album in four years for Jimpster aka Jamie Odell and Audiomontage. It was released on Odell's house imprint Freerange Records in the UK in June 2006 but will finally hit shelves in the US, mainland Europe and Japan this September. Press for 'Amour' describes it as "blissed out ambience through to deep house, minimal house and everything in between".
