Purple Mountains is the eponymous debut studio album by American indie rock band Purple Mountains. It was released on July 12, 2019 by Drag City. It is the first new music from David Berman since he disbanded Silver Jews in 2009. Created over the course of five years, the album experienced many failed attempts at writing and recording with different musicians and producers. It was eventually made with members of the band Woods and recorded mostly in Chicago but also in Brooklyn.

Berman's first full-length since the Silver Jews broke up in 2009. Former Silver Jews founder David Berman has premiered his new album as Purple Mountains.
