Gwen Stefani confirmed her first Christmas album, coming out Oct. 6, called "You Make It Feel Like Christmas," featuring Blake Shelton. The album is a collaboration with her country star boyfriend Blake Shelton and features classics like "Jingle Bells," "Santa Baby" and "Silent Night," as well as some original holiday songs. This album is pure Christmas magic. I've always loved Gwen and her take on the classic Christmas songs is brilliant - a very retro feel on many tracks. It's always been clear that she appreciates many genres of music and that really stands out to me when I listen to this. I loved that she didn't try to change the classic Christmas cover songs to much but just offered a new a beautiful take on the songs. The original songs on this album are instant classics, I love every song. My 3 year old daughter is a big fan of Gwen's music and it's awesome to have a Christmas album we can both enjoy. The music and production value is top notch. Even if you are not a huge. But this album is just superb! First, the production is wonderful, including all the live instruments, all the songs are gorgeous, it's got a nostalgic feel and Gwen may never have sounded better. The unique expression in her voice is right on point, and she sounds like a really awesome, talented friend singing with you. That's a really good thing-artists need that. Firstly, all the covers are awesome. There are background singers here, giving it a 1960s feel, but I warmed up to it real soon.
