Elixir is one of more positive-sounding albums by Iasos and features quasi-symphonic arrangements The second half of "Helios & Vesta" was reworked in track "The Royal Court of The Goddes Vesta" from album Jeweled Space (first released in 1981).

Each piece is built around spiritual affirmations included in the album notes. These affirmations alone are useful in attaining higher state of consciousness.
