Darryl Way was founder member of the legendary Curved Air, a group that brought Way's strident electric violin playing to the fore on a string of hit albums. In 1973, Way formed Wolf, a Progressive outfit featuring guitarist John Etheridge, bassist Dek Messecar and drummer Ian Mosley (now in Marillion). The music was a heady mixture of styles and secured the band a contract with Decca's Deram label.

Richard Darryl Way (born 17 December 1948 in Taunton, Somerset) is an English rock and classical musician who was a founding member of Curved Air and co-writer of their only hit single, "Back Street Luv". He is best known as a violinist although he also plays keyboards. He began his musical training at Dartington College of Arts, and later studied at the Royal College of Music. When he met Francis Monkman, they formed the band Sisyphus, which evolved into Curved Air.
