With Sympathy is the debut studio album by American rock band Ministry, released on February 10, 1983 by Arista Records. The group was formed in 1981 by lead singer and t Al Jourgensen, with drummer Stephen George being the most notable member of its initial lineup. In late 1981, Jourgensen was living in Chicago and involved in its underground scene.

Most of the German copies were released with the title "With Sympathy" (which is also the title of the n release with a different tracklisting), but contain the proper European "Work for Love" release. What He Say" was renamed "Do The Etawa" on this release. Comes with printed inner sleeve. With Sympathy ‎(LP, Album).

There are some good things on this album, but first let's explore the seldom spoken, shakiest territory of the groups suspect history. I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about DeBarge, but I suspect they sound a bit like I Wanted to Tell Her. Specifically the verse. Combining the worst of disco, funk and soul, the track is a twisted freak that should have been killed upon birth; instead it was featured prominently at track three.

LP (12" album, 33 rpm), Import. Ministry Format: Vinyl. Only 4 left in stock (more on the way).

Ministry's members at the time being Alain Jourgensen and Stephen George. Jourgensen's fake English accent was an homage to the new wave bands he loved at the time. Three singles were pulled from the album: "Work For Love", "I Wanted to Tell Her" and "Revenge", the latter of which got a video
