The video was directed by Anton Corbijn, a photographer and filmmaker from the Netherlands. The band members are at the deserted square with men and women marching in front of them, and Depeche Mode’s lead singer Dave Gahan calls for changes: Where’s the revolution? Who is making your decisions? You or your religion? Spirit is planned to be released on March 14. This is the first album after Delta Machine in 2013. Bird in Flight published an article about Anton Corbijn’s photographs which made the cover of iconic rock albums earlier. Expertise: Bryan Adams Photography.

Depeche Mode have announced a live album and concert film documenting their performances in Berlin last fall on the Delta Machine tour. The film was directed by Anton Corbijn, who has worked with the band numerous times in the past. The CD/DVD Live in Berlin will be out November 17 via Columbia.

Filmed on Depeche Mode’s triumphant tour in 1993, DEVOTIONAL showcases the band at its most raw and energetic, and the rock star antics of captivating lead singer, Dave Gahan. The two-level stage set, video images, and film projections were conceived by top rock photographer Anton Corbijn and lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe. The performance of the band is outstanding, and the song selection rightly focuses on the "Faith and Devotion" album, but other nuggets include "World in My Eyes", "Never Let Me Down" and "Enjoy the Silence". DVD2 brings some extras which, frankly, I don't really care all that much for. I do wish that they had added the 2 bonus tracks (including a superb "Halo") on DVD1. In retrospect, we can now say without much of a doubt that DM era-1993 was DM at its peak.
