Description

Maluns reveals his second offering of deep progressive excursions into ambient. Rolling grooves and sublime soundscapes create a powerful musical experience.

Tabs Out Temporal Movement – 118. a Steve Reich sort of devotion to ever-evolving minimalist repetition. I began by building a palette of sounds using a 35$ 90s midi synth module and processed and arranged the sounds using the free software Pure Data. What I have always personally admired about sound music is that its temporal and ephemeral nature allows it to convey and communicate ideas and feelings concerning the metaphysical, spiritual and or existential aspects of the human experience; more easily often, in my opinion, than visual mediums. Within this thought process Alterations conjures specifically inspiration from the unearthed codices of 1st and 2nd century Syrian- Egyptian Gnosticism.

Much of the music that comprises the album was originally written to accompany theatre and dance productions  . Much of the music that comprises the album was originally written to accompany theatre and dance productions. The initial inspiration was more external than internal, in that many of these pieces began as a response to a text or a choreographic concept, Julia explains, but they all seemed to be coming from the same emotional world and it made sense to weave them together into a record.

Temporal integration in the visual system causes fast-moving objects to leave oriented 'motion streaks' in their wake, which could be used to facilitate motion direction perception. Temporal integration is thought to occur over ≈100 ms in early cortex, although this has never been tested for motion streaks.

We developed a computational model that exhibited this behavior and provided an excellent fit to the measured eye movement reliability.
