Description

Live On Tour is a music singles/eps/fan club/promo recording by TALKING HEADS (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 1979 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette.

Live On Tour" was recorded at the Agora in Cleveland on December 18, 1978 and published as PROMO LP for radio broadcast. It was never officially released for the public. Only three songs (The Girls Want To Be With The Girls", "Electricity" and "Found A Job") were reprinted in the double live CD "The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads"; one song ("Psycho Killer") was issued as a 7" promo single in UK.

Talking Heads were an American rock band formed in 1975 in New York City and active until 1991. The band comprised David Byrne (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Frantz (drums), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar).

Talking Heads - "The Book I Read" performered during the 1983 "Stop Making Sense Tour".

Talking Heads added several sidemen, including a horn section, leaving them free to explore their dense amalgam of African percussion, funk bass and keyboards, pop songs, and electronics. After a long tour, the band concentrated on solo projects for a couple of years.

Talking Heads Albums Ranked Worst to Best. Ultimate Classic Rock. For the decade and a half that they held it together, Talking Heads led a charmed musical career as the most creative and sonically adventurous band to come out of the New York punk scene. We rank all eight of their studio albums from worst to best.

From their first gig opening for the Ramones in 1975 until the (eventually permanent) hiatus that followed the release of Naked in 1988, the Talking Heads released eight albums of music potently attuned to the absurdities and anxieties of late 20th century living.
