Hiatus Kaiyote (/haɪˈeɪtəs keɪˈjoʊti/) is a future soul quartet formed in Melbourne in 2011. The members are Naomi "Nai Palm" Saalfield (vocals, guitar), Paul Bender (bass), Simon Mavin (keyboards) and Perrin Moss (drums, percussion). They have been nominated twice for Grammy Awards. In 2013, they were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance for their song "Nakamarra", performed with Q-Tip. The song appears on their debut album, Tawk Tomahawk.

Anomaly is the second full-length album released by The Hiatus on June 30, 2010. It peaked at No. 5 on the Oricon album chart. Tez Humphreys drew the illustration for the record jacket. Hiatus’ first album, Ghost Notes (2010), was littered with samples from old Iranian records found gathering dust in Tehran. The new single, Iran Air, evokes the longing for, and seductive mystery of that other place that is barely known. The song resonates particularly for anyone of mixed heritage, as vocalist Shura (of English-Russian descent) acknowledges. The pair have collaborated on a number of tracks on the new album, Parklands, with Shura’s captivating voice forming the backbone of the record.

Get Scared formally announced their hiatus back in January, and despite that, they released their album The Dead Days on Friday.
