Open the Door is the fourth album by Roger Hodgson, released in May 2000 by Epic Records and his third and most recent studio one (and his first studio release since 1987). Open the Door was recorded mostly in France and features mostly French musicians, many who have played on Excalibur (La Légende Des Celtes) also produced by Simon featuring contributions from Hodgson, as his backup band. This is Hodgson's only solo album to be partially recorded outside the United States.

Charles Roger Pomfret Hodgson (born 21 March 1950) is an English musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the former co-frontman and founder member of progressive rock band Supertramp. Hodgson composed and sang the majority of the hits such as "Dreamer", "Give a Little Bit", "Breakfast in America", "Take the Long Way Home", "The Logical Song" and "It's Raining Again".

Classics Live, a collection of tracks from a solo tour of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Europe, and Canada, arrived in 2010. Hodgson continued to tour worldwide in many formats including in a duo, with a band, and with a symphony orchestra. This is Roger Hodgson's third solo studio album, 13 years after his second, the experimentalHai Hai (1987). During those 13 years, Hodgson had his personal challenges, including some health difficulties, but he did manage a tour, which is represented by 1997's Rites of Passage.
