The Willows is an album by Jim Jupp, under the pseudonym of Belbury Poly. The album was released in 2004 on the Ghost Box Music label. It is named after a short story by Algernon Blackwood.

The Willows are a folk band from Cambridge, UK. The band were formed in 2010 by husband and wife, Cliff and Jade, sister, Prue, and chance meeting via Gumtree, Ben. Their first album Beneath Our Humble Soil was nominated for Best Debut in the Spiral Earth Awards 2014. Not On Label (The Willows (3) Self-released).

If North America can fall for the faux folk of Mumford and Sons, why not the artful folk-rock of the Willows? The Mumfords are now lost amid the plains of US indie, their folk pretensions abandoned, while Cambridge-based Willows offer a polished update of Anglo-folk shot through with a streak of Americana. A mixed-gender six-piece full of ts, fronted by the graceful vocals of Jade Rhiannon (husband Cliff Ward leads the band), they owe a clear debt to Fairport Convention (who doesn’t?), but their newgrass leanings make Alison Krauss’s Union Station as good a comparison.
