Pittsburgh, PA's Run, Forever has unveiled a new video for "The Devil, and Death, and Me," the title track from their 2010 full-length released by Solidarity Recordings.

Run Devil Run is the eleventh solo studio album by Paul McCartney, released in 1999. It features mostly covers of both familiar and obscure 1950s rock and roll songs, along with three original McCartney compositions written in the same style, including the title track. As his first project following first wife Linda's death in 1998, McCartney felt the need to get back to his roots and perform some of the music he loved as a teenager

The album guts the band and the listener simultaneously, and in the process, Brand New trashed predispositions about what it meant to gut yourself in that fashion, to rip your heart off your sleeve, cut an incision down the middle, and encourage passersby to stare for as long as they pleased. Lacey’s words open themselves on Devil and God in a way previous records hadn’t. Each band member faced illness and death in their family life, funerals becoming a numbing event by repetition alone, but Devil and God surfaces surface-level grief. As he continues to tackle the pain of relationships ( Love’s just God on a good day ), the afterlife ( Well Jesus Christ, I’m not scared to die, I’m a little bit scared of what comes after ), religion ( You’re beating with a book everyone that book tells you to love ), and abuse ( Don’t feed.

As iconic as the album itself is the artwork that accompanies it: The photo depicts a little girl against the stark backdrop of a weathered New England home and two adults wearing sinister masks looming nearby. Curious about the young girl who became the subject of T-shirts, tattoos and artwork enjoyed by a legion of fans around the world, we contacted the photographer of the celebrated image, Nicholas Prior. When I was starting to create the Age Of Man series, I was primarily interested in taking children seriously, avoiding condescension and not sentimentalizing their experiences. In fact, that is probably the one detail most emblematic of the album title.

He draws listeners in with vulnerable ruminations and questions of love, death, self, and religion, and his vocal inflections bring as much meaning to the table as his carefully chosen words. The opening "Sowing Season" ebbs and flows steadily, moving along under light guitar before exploding with percussion, Lacey ably switching from a hushed delivery into an anguished cry of emotion before falling back down again effortlessly. With it, Brand New sets up the somber intensity of the record straightaway. The Devil and God is not an album of hooks; the excellent percussive stomp of "The Archers Bows Have Broken" is the most immediate here, but songs get stuck in the brain nonetheless and demand repeated spins.
