Consett Citizens Choir. Consett Citizens Choir was formed in 1949 by William E. Westgarth MBE.

Laura Branigan(1957-2004)singing, "Power Of Love," from her 1987 album, "Touch

The Best Of Johnny Cash.

Consett is a town in the northwest of County Durham, England, about 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is home to 27,394 (2001). Consett sits high on the edge of the Pennines. In 1841, it was a village community of only 145, but it was about to become a boom town: below the ground was coking coal and blackband iron ore, and nearby was limestone. These were the three ingredients needed for blast furnaces to produce iron and steel.

Citizens is the first studio album by Christian rock band Citizens, which was released on March 12, 2013 by BEC Recordings and Mars Hill Music, and the producer on the album is Brian Eichelberger. This album has seen critical success. Zach Bolen of Citizens gave an interview to Worship Leader and were asked "Citizens will be your first full-length album.

The album alternated four energetic up-tempo songs with five ballads, including one of the few songs written solely by Branigan, "I Wish We Could Be Alone". Gloria", an Italian love song recorded in 1979 by Umberto Tozzi and successful in several European countries, was released as the album's second single. Branigan's version was reworked with Tozzi's own arranger, Greg Mathieson, who updated its production with fellow producer Jack White to give it what Branigan called "an American kick" to match the new English lyrics. The original "Solitaire" was written and recorded in 1981 by French singer-songwriter Martine Clemenceau.
