Andalucia" (sometimes spelled as "Andalucía") is the first single taken from Doves' first career-spanning best-of compilation, titled The Places Between: The Best of Doves. The song was released as a promo single on 1 March 2010. The single received its first airplay on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on 3 March 2010, despite not being listed on the track list for that show, and again on 4 March 2010, on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6 Music radio show Roundtable

The band toured promoting the album for several years, they also filmed a music video for the song "California Girl". However, upon seeing how bad the footage of the video was, Perry threw up, Larriva threatened to quit, and Atanasoff was not seen around for days. So, to compensate, Larriva made his own video for the song using the eight dollars he had in his pocket.
