Description

John Lennon -"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)"Lyrics (Happy Xmas Kyoko Happy Xmas Julian) So this is Xmas And what have you done Another year over And a new on. .

Produced by John Hill. The War Is Over Lyrics

Voices, in my head again Trapped in a war inside my own skin They're pulling me under (Go). I've swallowed myself but the fever remains I'm numb to the pleasure but still feel the pain If I showed you my soul would you cover your eyes? If I told you the truth would you dare me to lie? I keep it all inside because I know the man is everything but kind. Voices in my head again Baiting me in a war I can't win I can hear them now Trapped in a game inside my own skin And I don't know myself anymore They're pulling me under Voices, Voices

The "Battle Cry of Freedom", also known as "Rally 'Round the Flag", is a song written in 1862 by American composer George Frederick Root (1820–1895) during the American Civil War. A patriotic song advocating the causes of Unionism and abolitionism, it became so popular that composer H. L. Schreiner and lyricist W. H. Barnes adapted it for the Confederacy.

War is never over Though we win the victory Still in our minds the battles No freedom is not free! Cecil L. Harrison. Poems by Cecil L. Harrison : 2, 2. prev. Adeeb Alfateh (6/9/2019 12:53:00 AM). War is never over Those left home to wait know this For many still are waiting It was their farewell kiss. great write 10+++ (Report) Reply. Lord knows this war ain't over no'. I encourage others to read this poem because while it doesn't put us in these soldiers shoes, it gives insight on what they go through even after war has been declared over. I thank Mr. Harrison for his service to America.

Private Maydwell, of the 2nd Battalion, Royal West Surrey Regiment, recalled a bayonet charge on German positions near Ypres in October 1914. We manoeuvred to the wood on our bellies, crawling, and when we got there we stood in a line. Officer shouted along the line, ‘Is everybody ready?’ and I called out, ‘I can’t get my bayonet on my rifle, sir’ and he said, ‘Damn you, Maydwell, hurry up!’ And when I’d got it on and said everything was alright, a bugle sounded and we made the charge, shouting as we went. The first Battle of Ypres was just over. Of course we went into the trenches; they weren’t real trenches, they were just sort of deep ditches – they’d been dug out very roughly. There was no drainage, of course, they were half full of water most of the time; it seemed to rain every day.
