Description

Jack Antonoff's sophomore album as Bleachers is a pretty solid collection of vintage pop songs, with some occasional shortcomings in the production and a shoddy deep cut here and there.

Gone Now is the second album by American indie pop act Bleachers, released on June 2, 2017. signifies a co-producer. signifies an additional producer. Jack Antonoff - lead vocals

Antonoff’s first solo album as Bleachers, 2014’s Strange Desire, was a lovable exploration of the ideas at the core of his sound: all the piano breaks and gated-reverb drums, the gang vocals and the ceaseless, head-spinning barrage of hooks. But to the world at large, it was less of a breakthrough than a sturdy business card.

Gone Now’ is Bleachers' second studio album, not counting the cover album entitled Terrible Thrills Vol. 2. Released on June 2, 2017, lead singer Jack Antonoff explains the album in a RollingStone article, He added that the Gone Now’s lyrics address memories of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the death of his sister from cancer soon after. It’s not about not moving on. It changes you. It changes your relationships, it changes how you see yourself, the way you see your work

He added that the Gone Now‘s lyrics address memories of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the death of his sister from cancer soon after. It changes your relationships, it changes how you see yourself, the way you see your work. I really wanted to be in all that as I made this album. Gone Now will be released on June 2nd. Album · 2017 · 12 Songs. Bleachers’ spirited second album is an impassioned tribute to his idols-The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen-with support from contemporary producers like Nineteen85 (Drake, DVSN) and Sounwave (Kendrick Lamar). The entire record could soundtrack a John Hughes film, but there are standouts: Don’t Take the Money, a Vince Clarke-produced anthem about not selling out, and Everybody Lost Somebody, a heart-on-sleeve ballad with an E-Street Style sax solo. 4 Charts Unless otherwise indicated, all tracks are performed by Bleachers.
