Misfits have announced plans to release a new single titled Descending Angel this Halloween via their own Misfits Records. In addition to an as-yet-unnamed song, the 12-inch maxi single will feature a re-recorded version of the title track, which originally appeared on 1999's Michale Graves

New Jersey (and honorary Australians) The Dillinger Escape Plan have just announced they will be making their triumphant return to Australia this August. The band fronted by Greg Puciato (who was just here in February with Killer Be Killed) are back promoting their latest album One of Us is the Killer and will be dropping by the East Coast of the country kicking off in Melbourne on August 28th. Unsane is Unsane's debut album, released in 1991 through Matador Records. It is the only studio album by the group to feature founding member Charlie Ondras, who died of a heroin overdose during the 1992 New Music Seminar in New York during the tour supporting the album Death metal band Entombed covered "Vandal-X" on their self-titled compilation album in 1997.

The Stone Roses are planing an Australian tour in 2012 as part of their reunion world tour. The band’s management have been making enquiries to Australian promoters in preparation for an impending tour. An official announcement is still a few months away, but a headline tour and some festival appearances are expected to be announced for the 2012 Australian summer. This will be the first time the band have toured Australia since their hey day in 1995, 16 years ago. Looks like the world tour will be next autumn/winte. ould the album be released then?
