Marking Lisa’s powerful return to the international stage, Seven cemented Lisa’s position as one of the UK’s most important singers. Underpinned heavily with strong themes of love and relationships, the album works on one hand as a vicarious escape from the plagues of infatuation, and on the other as a sophisticated collection of dance floor hip shakers. A lot of the album is about the trap that a woman has got herself into - an unrequited, doomed or mismatched love - and how to get herself out of i. f she can. said Lisa.
