NME sits down and interviews the metal godfathers Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler talk to us about battling cancer, playing together once more, writing again and what the future holds for Sabbath!

This is a documentary on Black Sabbath. The sound quality isn't that great at all, especially on the songs. It looks like it has been taken straight from a VHS with no remastering at all.

Iommi is the debut solo album by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. The album took nearly five years to make. All of the songs were written by Iommi, producer Bob Marlette and the respective vocalists of each track (except "Black Oblivion", which was written by Iommi and Billy Corgan). According to Iommi, he and Phil Anselmo had recorded three tracks together for the album, but only one was put onto the album.

Black Sabbath is the debut studio album by the English rock band Black Sabbath. Released on 13 February 1970 in the United Kingdom and on 1 June 1970 in the United States, the album reached number eight on the UK Albums Charts and number 23 on the Billboard charts. Black Sabbath is widely considered the first heavy metal album. Additionally, the opening track of the album-Black Sabbath-is widely considered to be the first doom metal song.

According to Black Sabbath guitarist and founding member Tony Iommi, the group's debut album was recorded in a single day on 16 October 1969. The session lasted twelve hours. Iommi said: "We just went in the studio and did it in a day, we played our live set and that was it. We actually thought a whole day was quite a long time, then off we went the next day to play for £20 in Switzerland. Aside from the bells, thunder and rain sound effects added to the beginning of the opening track, and the double-tracked guitar solos on ".

A new Tony Iommi solo album is officially happening! With plenty of anticipation preceding the announcement, Iommi himself revealed he’ll be hitting the studio this winter. Iommi’s collected his pension with Black Sabbath after playing the band’s final show on Feb. 4, 2017 in their home town of Birmingham, England. The trailblazing guitarist has earned a well-deserved break from the road, though he’s occasionally been sitting down for intimate discussions before a live crowd. While speaking at the Whitley Bay Film Festival in August, Iommi laid out a plan for his first solo album since 2005’s.
