So that’s Hemdale, and Rad Jackson is the gruesome compilation featuring plenty of it. Up first is the material from the split with Exhumed, then the Exit-13 split, then the Disgust split, and finally the self-titled demo (HEMDALE, stupid). All the split material being only the Hemdale sides of course, and featuring three covers (Napalm Death, Destruction, and Grave) plus an Anal Cunt parody almost as terrible as Anal Cunt themselves. Other than that, there’s not much left to say except there’s an hour of music, and unlike those best of or random versions of songs you already know compilations, this is one that features stuff you probably haven’t heard before and no doubt was made with the fans in mind.

This CD collects everything ever recorded by Ohio trio Hemdale, including their split CDs with Exhumed (1995), Exit-13 (1996), and Disgust (1997), as well as their 14-song demo from 1994. Hemdale specialized in raw, grinding, gory death metal, delivering it with drunken aggression and a sarcastic, tasteless sense of humor.

With Rad Jackson, no more having to hunt for the individual releases like back in the day before this was released, which I believe was in 2002 or 2003. Mandatory! If you prefer Fallujah and Aeon or other bands of that ilk, this isn't for you.
