Seahaven’s Ghost EP is essentially a child of everything Brand New has ever written. However, for an album that should feel derivative, they play it off as surprisingly organic. It helps that their singer, Kyle Soto, easily rivals Jesse Lacey’s earnest delivery of dark lyrics and that the songwriting is consistently good throughout the album. Granted, a few of these songs outshine the others. The first two songs, "Plague" and "Birds", are the heaviest songs on the album and also two of the strongest
