Space: 1999 ‎(LP, Album). Peter Pan Records, Power Records (4). 8162, N. 162. This is the first of two "story LPs" released by Power Records between 1975 & 1976. They are audio "reproductions" of selected "Space:1999" episodes. At the time of their release, besides reading the episode paperback book novelizations or recording the audio off of the TV, this was the ONLY way to experience an episode at any given time. I've heard other Power Records adaptations of other sci-fi TV series & these are the best ones in the line.

Best Rock Album and for Album of the Year. Breathe, the fourth album by country artist Faith Hill, entered the charts at number one upon its release in late 1999. Its title track became Hill's biggest hit, topping the country and the adult contemporary singles charts; the album sold five million copies by the end of 2000 and won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album at the 43rd Grammy Awards. David Bowie is the second studio album by the English musician David Bowie, released under that title by Philips in the UK, and as Man of Words/Man of Music by Mercury in the US, on 14 November 1969. It was reissued in 1972 by RCA Records as Space Oddity (the title of the opening track, which had reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart). Space Oddity was the name used for CD releases of the album in 1984, 1990 and 1999, but it reverted to the original, eponymous title for 2009 and 2015 reissues.

Space: 1999 to me is a truly excellent series. Produced and created by the great Gerry Anderson, it was the most expensive science fiction series of it's time and looks it!! The first Season provided us with some excellent episodes, and some excellent performances from the series leads - Martin Landau, Barbara Bain and Barry Morse.

I've heard other Power Records adaptations of other sci-fi TV series & these are the best ones in the line. They used the same actors for their "Star Trek" adaptations & the actors sound absolutely NOTHING like William Shatner & Leonard Nimoy. They do however sound a little bit like Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, et al. I recently bought both LPs because the best thing about them is the cover art which is suitable for framing, especially the second LP called "The Future is Fantastic!". Really sharp & colorful graphics!
