The Krankies are a Scottish comedy duo who enjoyed success as a cabaret act in the 1970s and on television in the 1980s, featuring in their own television shows and making pop records. Since this period, they have also regularly appeared in pantomime. The duo comprises wife Janette Tough and her husband Ian. As the Krankies they portray schoolboy Wee Jimmy Krankie (Janette), and paternal figure Ian Krankie (Ian), though in their comedy act they also portray other characters.
Vero nome: Ian & Janette Krankie. They have also become a major attraction on the cruise liners working for Cunard on the QE2 and for Sun Cruises the UK biggest package holiday cruise company, If you remember the Eighties you’ll remember The Krankies From Crackerjack, Krankies Klub, The Krankies Electronic Komic to KTV, the Krankies had there own TV show for 12years.

Louis performs crankies with his daughter-in-law Dejah Leger. They both perform in their family band La Famille Leger. This basic design and dimensions were taken from the crankie box used by Anna and Elizabeth annaandelizbeth. Two pieces of wood 22" X 10" (this is for the sides). One piece of wood 3 1/2" X 26" (this goes across the front of the box to brace/strengthen the structure). Two 1/2" diameter dowel rods 22" long (these are leader dowels or tension rods and they keep the scroll near the front window). Two 1" diameter dowel rods 2' long (these are for the spindle part of the cranks).
