Happy End (Japanese: はっぴいえんど Hepburn: Happī Endo) is the self-titled debut album by Japanese folk rock band Happy End. Because their third album is also self-titled, although written in English, this first album is also known by the name "Yudemen" (ゆでめん) after the sign depicted in the cover art. All the album's lyrics were written by Takashi Matsumoto, with the exception of "Tobenai Sora" (Haruomi Hosono) and "Ira Ira" (Eiichi Ohtaki)

Happy End (Japanese: はっぴいえんど Hepburn: Happī Endo) was a Japanese folk rock band active from 1969 to 1972. Composed of Haruomi Hosono, Takashi Matsumoto, Eiichi Ohtaki and Shigeru Suzuki, the band's pioneering sound was regarded as avant-garde to most Japanese at the time. They are considered to be among the most influential artists in Japanese music. MTV described Happy End's music as "rock with psych smudges around the edges.

All of the cuts were originally on Pizzicato Five's 1997 album The Happy End of World, a typically stylish and enjoyable Pizzicato album, much like Flow Hyphenated Drop itself. The superstar remixers accentuate the parts of the band they love - in St. Etienne's hands, for instance, the band becomes a near-surrealistic kitsch celebration.

This album is great! The first of three studio albums from Happy End. Many people may think that Happy End is a Western-style rock band from Japan, yes, they are a rock band, but very Japanese. different but still consistent reminds me of Hot Tuna's "Phosphorescent Rat" just a tad bit. This album is more free and psychedelic.
