The Empty Hearts are four guys with impressive musical résumés who’ve joined together to play music they love - simple, straightforward, but soulful rock.

Empty Rooms appears on the album Victims of the Future, released in 1984. Continuing his path in the hard rock genre, Victims of the Future was a collection of straight-out rock 'n' roll anthems (such as "Teenage Idol" and "Hold on to Love"), a mournful love ballad ("Empty Rooms", which then was redone by Moore for his 1985 Run for Cover album).

Run for Cover is the fifth solo studio album by Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1985. It is often considered his breakthrough album. The album includes the top 5 single "Out in the Fields" and a re-recording of the song "Empty Rooms", originally from Moore's previous album Victims of the Future, which became one of Moore's biggest solo successes, reaching No. 23 on the UK charts.

The Empty Hearts recorded without a deal or with little sense of whether the recordings would ever be released. They signed with manager Jonathan Wolfson (Daryl Hall & John Oates; Loverboy), who shopped the album, eventually signing with 429. "We didn't want to worry about that," Babiuk says.
