Los Dug Dug's are a rock group from Durango, Mexico, best known for their work in the 1960s and early 1970s. They were one of the first Mexican bands to adapt The Beatles' influence and are noted as one of the first Mexican Rock bands to write their own songs, as well as cover songs by British and American acts in English, thus breaking what had up to then been an unwritten rule in Mexican rock. They continue to perform today.

Album · 1971 · 10 Songs. An ardent fan helped the group get to New York to perform a few gigs and record, but Los Dug Dug's returned to Mexico when the cash ran out. It was at this point that they holed up in the studio to create this album (known in some places as Lost in My World). They indulge in pastoral, early progressive rock on "Who Would Look at Me?," but with a keen melodic sense that spotlights the songwriting in lieu of showmanship.

Dug Dug's ‎ "Smog" 1973 Psych Rock Mexicano. The second album (1972) from psychedelic guru Armando Nava and his band is in Spanish this time, as all other Mexican bands were by now singing in English. The recording sessions were tumultuous: after the band now stripped down to a power trio had recorded just three songs, Nava stormed out of the sessions and locked himself in his house for fifteen days.
