I happen to own a lot of rave albums from the golden era of 1994-1995 like Marusha's Raveland, Westbam's Bam bam bam, RMB's This world is yours and others as well. Touche couldn't be an exception. Meaning strike in French if i am correct, the whole album is a hymn in the rave-happy hardcore music. I happen to own a lot of rave albums from the golden era of 1994-1995 like Marusha's Raveland, Westbam's Bam bam bam, RMB's This world is yours and others as well. All of them share this special place in my heart where i keep these fantastic memories of an era long gone. Touche couldn't be an exception. Meaning strike in French if i am correct, the whole album is a hymn in the rave-happy hardcore music. Starting with the artisting elements, the bright colours and the 3-d logo of Interactive and the male-female figures standing side by side. Also check the inner last page of the small booklet, it's fantastic. As far as the track list, we have the hits Living without your love, Tell me when and the not so good imo Forever young. All the other tracks except the Introactive which is..... just intro, share the so called spirit of the rave culture. Set me free, releases the energy from your body and sets you free, free to dance and feel the rhythm. Hearts in harmony has a relaxing sequence melody, We are one is different from the later cd version, which by the way, would fit better in this album than this one, but even this particular version is quite energetic. Over and over again with the bouncy base drum isn't as fast as the other, but if you hear the lyrics you will understand that it was not written for dancing purposes. For dancing you can have the next ones, No gravity and Can you hear me calling with the mindblowing arpeggiator behind the acid sequence melody. Outroactive is the Introactive but lasts double time. The real surprise in this album is a track i enjoyed most, the ambient When the wind blows, with magnificent nostalgic melody and rhythm. With a first glance it seems like a "foreign body", between rave tracks, but believe me, it is worthy to listen to it. You will be surprised by the inspiration. Seems like the ambient track that Dune used to have in the Expedition album (i'm talking about So beautiful). Just check the tracklist and you will find out what i mean. Some moments of relaxation in a full of energy album like this one here.
