The Album was recorded and mixed by Nick Manasseh at the Yard Studios in West London. Vin reinvents his 1968 early reggae classic 'Heavenless' for the intro & title track, before taking us on a journey through new compositions, departing only on track 4 to revisit a tune he played on in 1974 at King Tubby's studio for Yabby You, old friend and sparring partner Tommy McCook's deep roots instrumental 'Revenge', this time complete with extended dubwise mixdown.

Most reggae fans know Glen Brown for his roots productions of the mid-70s, but his professional career actually dates to the tail end of ska. While still in his teens, Brown was given a guitar by a certain Mr Wong, proprietor of the Wong Brothers’ television repair shop in Cross Roads, where Brown did casual work behind the counter; patrons and friends made note of his abilities with the instrument, which he quickly mastered. Instead, Glen’s solo work began making his Rastafari focus a bit more explicit, first on ‘Collie And Wine’ for Leslie Kong, and then on the popular ‘Love I’ for Derrick Harriott. 1972 was a watershed year for Brown, as he began focussing more concertedly on music production, yielding a number of oddball instant classics right off the bat.

Dave Barker (born David John Crooks, 10 October 1948, Franklyn Town, Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae and rocksteady singer who has made a string of solo albums along with recordings as a member of The Techniques and as half of the duo Dave and Ansell Collins. debut album Prisoner of Love. Working with Perry at the same time as The Wailers, Barker toasted over the latter's "Small Axe" for 1971's "Shocks 71". March 1971 brought international fame as part of a duo with Ansell Collins.
