Profile: American funk group, produced by Norman Whitfield. They released two albums in the late 1970s: Nytro in 1977, and Return to Nytropolis in 1979. The group disbanded in 1980. Various group members also regularly worked as session musicians on other Whitfield Records releases.

Here's a photo album of my nytro's engine after it threw a rod through the side of the motor. Not 100% sure on the cause; it doesn't look like the piston hit the valves and the bearing and wrist pin were loose. Piston also moved freely. Maybe just a fatigue failure? Valves looked good from what I could see, but it's proving difficult to remove the head. Not sure what got wedged in the valve.
