Besides the original music written for the film, there are several performances which stand out. Smashmouth is not only featured in their own hit "All Star" but also in singing Neil Diamond's "I'm a Believer". Jason Wade sings an updated version of the 1950s Jo Stafford hit "You Belong to Me" which is great. My only complaint about the album is that they didn't use Joan Jett's version of "Bad Reputation" even though that is what they played in the movie. I think that is misleading when they don't use the same song that they did in the soundtrack and then they call it the "soundtrack"! I've gotten used to the one on the album and it is ok, but I really wish it would have been Joan Jett singing instead!
